Atlas von Leidenschaft VPG I

DOB July, 13, 2001 Height: 67.5 cm (27 in.) Weight: 34 kg (74 lbs) (May 6/04)

Atlas is the first non-black dog in our kennel!! He's from our first Dobermann litter at Leidenschaft Kennels. Atlas is about as cool as they come, his temperament is calm though he is definitely not aloof. He is outgoing, friendly and alert, and unfazed by the world around him!
Atlas has already sired two litters for us with our German import Blitz von der Burgstaette! See our
B-litter, and C-litter!! His littermate Anja produced our D-litter just a week later!
Atlas at four years old, trialling for VPG I
As much as we love Atlas, he is only available to breed to Blitz as our other two girls are his mother and sister! Therefore we are offering him up for sale to a working home, available with breeding rights. Atlas has been started in Schutzhund and has just recently achieved his VPG I. Ron plans to continue his training until he's sold. In the meantime he is available to stud approved bitches.

Atlas is now 4 years old and is a solid boy with a broad head and substantial structure. He is VERY cool nerved, taking everything in stride. He is neither lazy nor shy, he simply chooses not to get excited about everything! A trait we are seeing in some of his yearling pups already! All health tests have been completed to our satisfaction for mating with approved bitches. Atlas is VWD (VetGen) Carrier, and will only be mated to Clears, he is OFA Fair, and thus will be mated to Good or Excellent, and he is CERF Normal!

Atlas has great confidence and wonderful prey drive! We started his defensive training at one year old and he has taken every bit of it in stride! Recent photos in his gallery show him taking bites in a tree, over the side of a 8 foot box into a 1 ton truck with more exciting feats to come! Short video clips of Atlas are available in our Video Gallery! A very impressive bite suit fight on top of a garbage dumpster is my personal favorite!! ;-)
