The following is an email from Berlin's "mom" Valerie... reprinted WITHOUT permission! ;-))
Berlin aka "Spinny Linny" aka "Dead Dog Walking" is shown below in photos with her "dad" Bob at a Schutzhund training field in Victoria BC. These photos were taken Saturday, Dec. 20th. Berlin is a mere puppy of not quite 8 months old. Any bets on her seeing 18 months?? ;0

Dated December 7, 2003
Okay, so it was an eventful week in the Republic. And which dog is it you wonder, well our lovely new addition of course. Let's see, where to begin. On Tuesday she decided to dig her way through the front of my $2,000 couch. Like a huge zit on the end of your nose, it was front and centre. NOOOO, she couldn't take a nip out of the side or the back, right smack in the front. Couch now worth $25, dog worth her weight in s***. Then on Thursday, and standing in the living room weighing in at 54 pounds wearing the yellow electronic collar, she again took down her opponent, with a huge tear to the right side - right down to the frame!! Couch now worth s***, dog saying "what, what did I do?" Valerie reciting the serenity prayer, "God grant me the serenity to walk out of this house and not kill her". And then came Sunday, you know the one after Saturday, aka the day of rest. Well maybe at someone else's house. I sliced a lovely cheese scone and was walking to the toaster to drop that little bun into a warm jacket when a half slipped out of the hand and became Berlin's breakfast. I ran after her and tried to grasp it from her jaws. Never to be seen again. Oh and did I mention lunch. I bought a traditional French meat pie, some of you might be familiar with this item "Tourtiere". Tasty little treat they are. Well I cut it into 8 modest wedges. I had one for lunch with a salad. I left the rest of the pie, only for a moment - foolishly - on the counter. I swear I was only out of the room for as long as it takes to walk the ten steps to the bathroom. "Clink" - what was that noise. We rushed to the kitchen but that little Tourtiere didn't stand a chance. Slipped into the cavernous void known as Berlin's belly. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! Testing my patience, yes. Lucky to be alive, oh yes. Then why do I still love her ??$*#$*#^#(*%# I need to be medicated.........
