UPDATE: May 2006
Although Blitz is still a relatively young dog, we have decided
to spay her and place her. To reassure those who would immediately
assume health problems to be the reason... Blitz is a perfectly
healthy dog! To our knowledge all of her offspring are too!
;)
Our main reason for placing Blitz is simply the need to downsize
our kennel for the time being, due to major career and lifestyle
changes. We had to make a choice between Blitz and Anja, and
Anja is definitely the stronger bitch.
We do not take lightly the decision to place any of our dogs
or pups, and we are very pleased that our friend and club member,
Leslie has spoken for her. Leslie has just been bit by the Schutzhund
bug, and while she plans to do Obedience and Tracking with her
American Eskimo, Miko, she was craving a working dog! Blitz
will be an excellent opportunity for her to learn the sport,
and for Blitz, she will continue to enjoy the training as well
as be part of a smaller pack! It's a great situation for everyone!
Thanks Leslie, and best of luck with her!
Blitz's
bio from her youth:
Blitz arrived in Canada
from Germany on August 23, 2000! She handled the long flight
exceptionally well. There are a lot of adjustments for her to
make, she has traveled back in time 9 hours, she is learning
a new language, as well as the adjustment of being away from
her 10 brothers and sisters!
Blitz produced our B-litter
and C-litter for us with our male
Atlas. Their amazing offspring are
beginning to prove themselves on the trial field!
